Matt Torbin is an Application Security Engineer for Lookout and the co-chair of Lookout's Diversity Steering Committee. As a multi-faceted technologist with almost twenty years in the industry, Matt Torbin has had a direct impact on almost every aspect of the software development lifecycle. Early in his career, Matt worked as a front-end, full stack engineer specializing in UI/UX. During this time he was involved in both development as well as testing efforts which included quality and security efforts. Recently, he completed a career transition to information security. In his free time, he is passionate about promoting equality in the industry and offering mentorship to young technologists.
Laura Buitrago is a Web Developer at Lookout, and currently co-chair of Lookout's Diversity Steering Committee. Previously a Teacher, Photographer, and Student Science Specialist, she made the transition to Web Development in 2015. Laura is Colombian-American and is passionate about the inclusion of Women and People of Color in tech. Laura loves to travel and has lived in 4 different countries / continents.
Amy is an Innovative Product Designer, Graphic Designer and Illustrator with an eye for detail. She is currently working as a Product Designer at Lookout. Prior to Lookout, Amy was helping small businesses & entrepreneurs achieve their goal with design strategy and User-Centered Design process in Taiwan and San Francisco. As a brainstormer and stuff maker, I am always looking forward to working with people with a wide range of backgrounds.
Deidre Diamond is the CEO and Founder of CyberSN.com, a cybersecurity research and staffing company, and the Founder of brainbabe.org, a cybersecurity not-for-profit organization. Deidre’s vision and leadership has resulted in a dramatic decrease in the frustration, time and cost associated with job searching and hiring for cybersecurity professionals. Prior to CyberSN, Deidre was the CEO of Percussion Software, the first VP of Sales at Rapid7 (NYSE:RPD) and the VP of Staffing and Recruiting for the national technical staffing company Motion Recruitment. Deidre leads with a strong commitment to transparency, equality, training, support, high-productivity and love in the workforce.
With over 20 years of experience in the tech field, and degrees in Sociology, Business, and Homeland Security, Kyle F. Kennedy’s multidisciplinary background serves him well. Prior to joining forces with Deidre Diamond, as President of brainbabe.org; Kyle served as the CISO of CyberSN and was the CTO and CIO of STEALTHbits. Prior to that, Mr. Kennedy was the VP of Business Development at Pontis and the Global Director - Directory Services, Identity Services and Enterprise Security Architecture with CISO-level responsibilities at ADP. Kyle believes that the business of cyber security can change lives when we truly engage, connect, inspire, impact, empathize, and love one another.
Launa Rich is a Managing Director in San Francisco, she oversees all West Coast cybersecurity staffing for CyberSN (cybersn.com), a cybersecurity staffing, technology, and research firm. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Rich moved to New York City to begin her career in technical staffing. She was then promoted to a management position at Motion Recruitment, moving to San Francisco building a team specialized in DevOps placement services. Rich brought that specialization to Talener’s New York office and then returned to San Francisco, as a Director, overseeing and expanding the Bay Area presence. She is also a co-founder of the Data Driven Women networking group and an Ambassador with Brainbabe, a not-for-profit working to address the cybersecurity talent shortage. With a passion for Infrastructure and DevOps, Rich is excited to continue as an integral part of the San Francisco cyber security community.
Lisa Kendall is the Media and Marketing Manager for CyberSN (cybersn.com) a cybersecurity staffing, technology and research firm and she also manages the marketing for Brainbabe (brainbabe.org), a not-for-profit working to bridge the cybersecurity talent gap. Kendall has a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara in Women’s Studies, a background in technical recruiting, sales, and non-profit fund-raising and a passion for supporting women in business. She sits on the board of Technology Diversified, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing education and resources that promote employment, peer-support, diversity, and inclusion in technology. She believes in creating teams with healthy workplace cultures, retention and happiness.
Travis works at Netflix on the Cloud Security team. He enjoys building automation to increase security while boosting developer productivity. Travis is a core developer of the Bandit and Repokid open source projects and has presented at security conferences including BlackHat USA 2017, Enigma 2018, and re:Invent 2017. He currently serves as the Bay Area OWASP Chapter Lead. In previous roles he has served on the OpenStack Security team and as a founding member of the Cloud Foundry Security Team.
