Deidre's mission is to remove the pain from job searching and matching for everyone. Deidre cares tremendously about people loving where they work and has been working to create cultures that have high EQ (emotional intelligence) skills. These skills focus on words and behaviors. Deidre is known in the D/I community as someone who works hard at making sure words and behaviors are inclusive for all so that inclusive environments can also be diverse environments.
Jan D’Alessandro is President of Blue J Strategies, a strategic advisory that she founded with Jimmy Chamberlin (Smashing Pumpkins). Jan focuses on helping companies develop impactful partnerships and corporate social responsibility programs across the media, technology, and nonprofit sectors. Clients include Lookout, Pledge 1% (where she leads the Equity Initiative, Chime Bank, Future Fuel.io, Unagi Scooters, and Speakable. As General Counsel and Head of CSR at several public & private venture-backed companies (including AOL, Yahoo, The Find (acquired by Facebook), Topspin Media (acquired by Apple), and Backplane (founded by Lady Gaga), she has dedicated her career to harnessing the power of technology to make the world a better place and empowering companies to do well by doing good. Jan is also a venture partner at 4 funds, sourcing deal flow, and mentoring founders. She received her J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center and her A.B. in English and American Literature from Brown University.
Kelly Thibault is the Executive Director at Secure Diversity. Prior to Secure Diversity, she was the Learning & Development partner to Engineering, Product, & Design at Opendoor. Before transitioning into the tech industry, she spent nearly 12 years in higher education administration with responsibilities covering various areas, including program management, risk management, operations, events, compliance, DEI, HR, leadership, and IT support. Her love of technology and innovation was part of her desire to change industries. Kelly serves as the Chapter Head for Out in Tech - SF and is involved with Tech Ladies. She finds professional joy in creating more equitable and inclusive environments, leading teams, building programs, creating organizations and processes, public speaking, and influencing change. She geeks out about learning something and improving efficiency and organization. Kelly lives in the SF East Bay with her wife Michelle and their 13-year-old Keeshond (dog), Darwin.
